Contract must provide the City with proof of the license when submitting their proposal. o The Contract shall be required to have a valid City of Salinas Business License prior to commencement of any work. o Must meet the insurance and licensing requirements outlined in the City of Salinas Contractor Requirements. o Contractor must be able to meet the requirements in the attached Sample Agreement and Scope of Services if awarded the contract. o Prevailing wage rates must be paid for all work associated with this project. Workers employed in the work must be paid at rates at least equal to the current prevailing wage scale as determined by the State Director of the Department of Industrial Relations. Contractors and subcontractors are required to be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations prior to submitting a proposal. All contractors and subcontractors will be required to furnish electronic certified payroll records directly to the Department of Industrial Relations. o The City of Salinas recognizes that prevailing wage increases may occur during the term of the contract, and consequently will allow labor rate increases per construction cost index per year to ensure that the labor rates reflect the current prevailing wage. A prospective firm may withdraw their proposal at any time prior to the date and the time which is set forth herein as the deadline for submittal of Statement of Proposals. The Contractor shall obtain any licenses/permits required by the Scope of Services. Additionally, the Contractor shall be required to have a valid City of Salinas Business License prior to commencement of any work. In accordance with the California State Labor Code, prevailing wage rates apply. The City of Salinas is an Equal Opportunity Employer Scope of Services The work includes, but is not limited to, all labor and equipment to repair, replace, adjust, and maintain pumps, motors, and related mechanical systems; inspection; testing; and emergency response. The Contractor must be able to respond to emergency repairs within 24 hours and to non-emergency repairs within 72 hours. The contract is for "as-needed services" and is not a guarantee that the City will contact you to perform such services. The awarded contract will be valid for two years with an opportunity to extend for an additional two years upon agreement with the City. Total charges under this contract are not-to-exceed $1,000,000. The City reserves the right to award multiple contracts in order to meet its operational needs.
