The Ayer Department of Public Works (DPW), the Awarding Authority, invites sealed bids from Massachusetts Licensed Electrical contractors to install two (2) new generator connections at various locations for the Ayer DPW in Ayer, Massachusetts, in accordance with the documents prepared by the Ayer DPW. General bids shall be accompanied by a bid deposit that is not less than five percent (5%) of the greatest possible bid amount. The successful General Bidder must furnish a fifty percent (50%) Payment Bond with a surety company acceptable to the Owner. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informality in or to reject any or all Bids if deemed to be in its best interest. Project Description: The successful bidder shall provide a list of labor and materials needed to complete the following work in the Ayer Wastewater Pump Stations. Installation of generator manual three-way switches and plug / camlock / cam-type interconnections for two (2) wastewater pumpstations and supply of cam-type connector or cord set for utilization of mobile emergency generator. Interconnectivity is necessary between cord / camlock / cam-type sizing and switch sizing between the stations with one cord set or set of cam lock cables for all stations. Utilization of cord / cam-type connectors must be easily identifiable for use. Sizing of the cam-type connection must be sized to accommodate the larger stations power demand and connection to generator set. Site visits are strongly encouraged.
