The Cuyler A. Dunbar building at CVCC in Hickory, NC is a five story steel framed structure primarily clad with a brick masonry veneer system. The scope of work for this project includes repairs to all elevations of the exterior brick masonry veneer walls. New through wall flashings will be installed at all elevated floor lines, window head flashings and other lintel flashings will be repaired, and all vertical brick expansion joints will be replaced. Repairs to multiple isolated areas of damaged brick and mortar will also be included. Access to all building elevations is a critical element to this project. Site safety such as overhead protection for pedestrians is also imperative as the building will remain active throughout the project. Contractors must provide pre-qualification documentation and pass the approval process to be eligible to bid on this project.
