Reference Number : 0000361825 Asphalt Overlay & Paving of Multiple County Roads. Estimated Budget: $800,000.00 Question Deadline 09/17/2024 at 12:00 PM CT Submit questions through online. Questions are submitted online: Yes Contract Time is of essence and all Work shall be completed by November 15th, 2024, after receipt of Notice to Proceed (NTP) in accordance with the Bid Form, Section 200. Bid, performance, and payment bonds, when required, may be executed on forms furnished by OWNER. A bid bond shall be five percent (5%) of the Contract Amount and Performance and Payment bonds shall be issued in an amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Amount by a solvent surety company authorized to do business in the State of Texas and shall meet any other requirements established by law or by OWNER pursuant to applicable law. The Work consists of: CONTRACTOR shall lay out and correctly establish all lines, levels, grades and positions of all parts of the work, and shall be responsible for their accuracy and proper correlation with existing control lines, monuments and data points. Control lines, monuments and data points shall be carefully preserved by the CONTRACTOR, and if displaced, shall be reset by the CONTRACTOR at the CONTRACTOR'S own expense. All such resetting work shall be subject to the OWNER's approval. CONTRACTOR shall apply a tack coat, in compliance with TxDOT Specification Item 300 and Item 341-2.5, prior to the application of level up material. CONTRACTOR shall level-up hot-mix asphalt (Type D Dense Grade PG 70-22 SAC B) at a 1/2 " average depth matching the existing cross section and pavement width of the roads shown in "Attachment A". Level up quality must be reviewed and accepted by the COMAL COUNTY ENGINEER or designee prior to application of final surface layer. CONTRACTOR shall apply a tact coat in compliance with TxDOT Specification Item 300 and Item 341-2.5 prior to the application of the HMA surface. CONTRACTOR shall place a depth of four one and one half (1.54) inches of hot-mix asphalt (Type DC Dense Grade HMA PG 7064-22 SAC B) matching the existing cross section and pavement width of the roads shown in Attachment B. Final review and acceptance will be performed by the COMAL COUNTY ENGINEER or designee OWNER reserves the right to reject any or all Bids and to waive any minor informality in any Bid or solicitation procedure (a minor informality is one that does not affect the competitiveness of the bidders).
