Citywide Concrete Installation and Repair West Sacramento is a vibrant riverfront community centrally located in Northern California. West Sacramento shares the Sacramento River with neighboring Sacramento, with the deep water ship canal serving the Port of Sacramento. Incorporated in 1987, West Sacramento encompasses approximately 22 square miles, with a population just over 53,000 people. The City is full-service with nine (9) departments and over 400 full-time employees. The City provides the full range of municipal services including police and fire protection, park, street, fleet, and facility maintenance, economic development and housing, community development, capital projects, and parks and recreation. The City also provides water, wastewater, and solid waste services. A. The work consists of furnishing all labor, materials, equipment and services necessary to complete the removal and replacement of concrete sidewalks, curbs and gutters, asphalt concrete pavement tie-in, and miscellaneous concrete repairs as may be requested within the City of West Sacramento on an as needed basis during the term of the contract. All work shall include necessary traffic control. The locations of work will be throughout the City. Concrete replacement shall be completed within thirty (30) calendar days from commencement of work. Work shall commence within twenty-one (21 calendar days) of notification by the City. B. The City reserves the right to add or delete any identified work. All work performed shall be measured and paid based on the contract unit prices identified in the cost table. The unit prices shall not be subject to change based on the addition or deletion of work. C. CONTRACTOR shall utilize City of West Sacramento Sidewalk standards (Division 4, Section 11) as included as an attachment A. The work to be performed, in general, consists of removing and replacing damaged sections of existing concrete sidewalk, curb, and gutter, and asphalt concrete pavement tie-in. The work shall include traffic control, saw cutting, excavation, backfilling, compaction; patching asphalt conforms adjacent to new gutters, and clearing and grubbing.
