Project No. 125-10047-000 Scope Work of the contract is for the rehabilitation of the Treaschwig Lift Station for Post Wood Municipal Utility District located at 5415 Treaschwig Road, Spring, Texas 77373. The purpose of this project is to rehabilitate the lift station to prevent the risk of future failure. The rehabilitation items include the installation of a quick disconnect, replacing the cast iron portion of piping with stainless steel, installing a new cementitious lining and epoxy coating system, and various rehabilitation items in the lift station wet well and valve vault. In general, this work consists of: Contractor shall acquire all permits and provide copies to LAN as a prerequisite to starting work. Temporary bypass pumping for lift station rehabilitation to provide continuous sewer service during rehabilitation. Addition of a quick disconnect in box connected through the valve vault wall for bypass pumping, as shown on plans, including the demolition and recasting of the concrete thrust block and wall of the vault. Surface preparation of wet well interior, including both chambers of the wet well, with an Engineer approved cementitious lining system, including cleaning, removal, and disposal of sediment, grit, sludge, existing epoxy or protective coating lining, and unsound concrete. Repair wet well interior with a cementitious material for extremely harsh environments to a minimum thickness of 1-inch and reline wet well interior with an engineer approved epoxy coating including surface preparation. Replacing the portion of 8" piping that is cast iron with stainless steel piping to match the existing piping in the wet well as shown on plans by cutting into concrete wall, removing existing wall spool, removing pipe at flange, replacing with steel pipe of same diameter including wall sleeve, and recasting the concrete wall around the new pipes. This is to be done in three places, for all portions of cast iron piping in the riser piping for the three pumps. Removal of the existing lateral beam in the wet well, including demolition and reforming of concrete wall, as directed by engineer, as shown on plans. Miscellaneous lift station site improvements including replacement of floats access hatch to match existing pump access hatches and installation of aluminum safety grate, replacement of existing safety nets with aluminum safety grates in pump access hatches, replacement of existing valve vault grate with aluminum grate to match existing and leaving behind existing fiber-reinforced grate on site for owner use, cutting and grouting of existing abandoned 14" cast iron force main flush to wall in wet well, installation of pressure gauge assembly with diaphragm seal, isolation valve, and sampling tap to discharge piping as detailed on plans, and installation of conduit bushing in electrical box. Site restoration and site cleanup.
