Juvenile Detention Air Handlers. Issuing Office: The Issuing Office is located at 115 East Washington Street, Room 401, Bloomington, Illinois 61701 and is the sole point of contact for clarification regarding this RFP process. The McLean County Facilities Department Project Manager, Mr. Scott Fogler, shall be the point of contact for clarifications regarding the scope of work. The building will need to remain in operation during the entire project, with best efforts made to minimize the duration of air comfort interruptions during the project. All efforts are to be made to recycle the demolished materials. Ductwork is to remain in place and be utilized for the new air handlers. Furnish and install new hot water valves. Furnish and install new chilled water valves Furnish and install new required damper actuators including but not limited to outside air, return air, exhaust air, and supply zones. Furnish and install any required expansion valves. All installation of new systems to follow the 2019 International Mechanical Code. Removal of all unused materials, construction debris and tools from the site upon completion of the project. The Awarded Submitter shall be responsible for performing this project in a safe environment. The Owner does not warrant any safe conditions. Safety at all times during this project shall be created and maintained by the awarded Submitter in compliance with all OSHA, State, and Local regulations. The awarded Submitter agrees to exempt the Owner from any damages as a result of injuries to workers, members of the public, and/or County employees. Question Deadline 09/20/2024 at 4:00 PM CT Questions will be entertained after this pre-submission conference If any answer is given at the pre-submission conference or during the question time period that materially affects this R.F.P., the information will be incorporated into an addendum and provided to all potential submitters of record. Oral comments do not form a part of this R.F.P. Scope of Work Replace 4 air handling units and components. Includes zoning, hot and cold decks, return air fans, chiller motors. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Proposals, including without limitation, nonconforming, nonresponsive, unbalanced, or conditional proposals. The Owner further reserves the right to reject the proposal of any Submitter whom it finds, after reasonable inquiry and evaluation, to not be responsible. The Owner may also reject the proposal of any Submitter if the Owner believes that it would not be in the best interest of the project to make an award to that Submitter. The Owner also reserves the right to waive all informalities not involving price, time, or changes to the specifications and to negotiate contract terms with the successful Submitter. Bid notes. All requests by interested Submitters for a copy of the Proposal Packet must be received by the Owner prior to the date and time of the closing of the proposal period, identified herein. A public opening will commence in room 404 of the Government Center immediately after the stated expiration time for the receipt of all proposals. Only those proposals received prior to the stated expiration time for the receipt of proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud. No emailed proposals or proposals received after the stated expiration time for the receipt of proposals will be considered. All proposals must be single proposals, submitted on the proposal forms provided, and shall contain no qualifications or interlineations.
