Reference Number : 0000361609 Florence County (County) is seeking a qualified firm to provide design/build services for additions to station no. 2 of the South Lynches Fire Department Station 2 according to the requirements of the solicitation contained herein. Scope of Work Provide Design, Permitting, and Construction servicesto construct a 40'x25' addition to the rear of the existing bay area of the fire station. Project Details (Base): Construct a 40'x25' addition to the rear of the existing bay area with minimum of 16 ft. vertical clearance. o Proposed roofline shall match the existing roofline. o Frame shall be red iron steel structure. o Exterior shall be 26-gauge steel decking painted to match existing exterior color. o Interior shall be 26-gauge steel decking to a height of 8 feet painted to match existing interior walls. o Floor shall be 6" thick 4,000 psi concrete with rebar. o Floor drain shall be a minimum of 3" center drain. o Exterior pad shall be 6" thick 4,000 psi concrete with rebar. Pad shall extend beyond the building 5 feet and be sloped away from the building. o Gutter system shall be modified to provide adequate drainage to new roof area. o Walls and roof shall be insulated with white vinyl backing with reinforcement stitching. o Two existing roll-up doors with electric motors shall be relocated to new addition. o Install two concrete or steel bollards at each roll up door. (Four total) Project Alternatives: Bidder shall provide a separate cost for the following additive alternates: 1. Extend the exterior pad 20 feet from the addition. 2. Repaint entire exterior of the building. 3. Install electrical items to include (lump sum): a. Adequate interior lighting to be installed in new addition. b. Install interior receptacles spaced per current electrical code. c. Exterior lighting shall include one 175W wall pack LED between two roll-up doors Scope of Services Services include all aspects related to designing and constructing the addition to the existing fire station including, but not limited to electrical and insulation. The successful firm shall perform or provide any and all professional related services including architectural; interior design; planning; structural; mechanical; civil; electrical services; and any consultations, presentations or related services incidental thereto necessary to obtain all construction related permits.
