Scope: The City of Delray Beach, Florida (City) is seeking proposals from qualified firm(s) to provide Pool of Contractors for Fleet Collision Repair, Painting and/or Welding Services for Public Works Fleet Division Delivery Location: Public Works Division Engineering Division 434 S Swinton Avenue Delray Beach, Fl 33444 Q & A deadline: Sep 13, 2024 5:00:00 PM EDT The Contract shall commence upon the date of the duly executed Agreement for a term of three (3) years with the option, if exercised by the City, of two (2) additional one-year renewals. The City of Delray Beach reserves the right to accept or reject any or all Proposals, in whole or in part, with or without cause, to waive any irregularities and/or technicalities, and to award the contract on such coverage and terms it deems will best serve the interests of the City. Meeting Locations: o City Hall Conference Room - located at 100 N.W. 1st Avenue, first floor, Delray Beach, FL. o Swinton Operations Center- Conference Room and Training Rooms - located at 434 South Swinton Avenue, Delray Beach, FL. a) Repair and/or painting services shall be provided in accordance with an appraisal or quote, as requested. b) Painting services may be requested as a separate service from repair services (e.g. City wishes to change the color of a vehicle's bumper). c) Painting and repair services shall be guaranteed from defect for a period of 12 months following the services completion/acceptance date, or as otherwise mutually agreed upon by the City and the selected Proposer(s). d) The selected Proposer(s) shall be responsible for the safe transport of vehicles and equipment, including, but not limited to towing. e) Serviced vehicles and equipment shall be picked up and returned to Fleet Maintenance at 434 S. Swinton Avenue, Delray Beach, FL 33444, unless otherwise designated by the City. The City has the option to drop off vehicles if required. f) Vehicles and equipment shall be returned with a clean interior and exterior. g) Under certain circumstances (such as an emergency), the City reserves the right to call upon a pooled contractor without first requesting a quote or obtaining an appraisal. The pooled contractor shall be ready to perform services within four (4) hours of notification from the City. h) Work may entail: i. Securing and protecting chrome, glass, lighting equipment (light bars, strobes), winches, etc. and any other vehicle/equipment components or accessories that could be damaged. ii. Protecting mechanical, hydraulic, or any attached lifting, hoisting or other devices that could be damaged. iii. Making all necessary adjustments and aligning doors, hood decks, trucks, fenders, or other body components (such as hinges, latches, etc.) that are not damaged but would require such labor to complete services. iv. Aligning front and/or rear ends (casters, camber, and toe-in, etc.). v. Applying paints, primers, and clear coats. CTORS FOR FLEET COLLISION REPAIR & PAINTING SERVICES AND/OR WELDING SERVICES vi. Rust-proofing and under-coating for repaired areas which originally had this type of protection. vii. Upholstering seats, arm rests, headliners, etc. (As needed) viii. Resetting, repairing, and/or restoring active or passive restraint systems (such as seat and shoulder harnesses and air bag systems) to fully functional original equipment manufacturer (OEM) factory standards. ix. Correcting vehicle frames, including repairs, alignment, and straightening, to factory-new standards. x. Sandblasting.
