Description the Town of Abingdon Virginia (Hereafter Also Referred to as the Town) Seeks Sealed Bids to Resurface the Harry L. Coomes Recreation Center Upper Parking Lot. Asphalt Maintenance Shall Include but is Not Limited to Milling, Paving and Striping of the Parking Lot. Background the Town of Abingdons Asphalt Maintenance to Repair and Replace Worn, Cracked and Dilapidated Asphalt on the Entrance to the Harry L. Coomes Recreation Center Upper Parking Lot Due to New Asphalt Areas. Resurfacing work shall be scheduled to begin on or subsequent to a date to be specified in the Work Schedule and shall be completed and invoiced no later than Friday, November 1, 2024. Questions concerning the Invitation to Bid can be directed to the contact information below, and shall be received no later than 4:00 PM, Thursday, September 12, 2024. Any questions received after Thursday, September 12, 2024 may not be answered in fairness to other Bidders. Award Date: Anticipated by Thursday, September 26, 2024 The Town will require a 5% bid bond. Award to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. Performance and Payment bonds in the amount of 100% of the contract price will be required with the agreement. The Town reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any irregularities or informalities in the bidding, and to accept the proposal, which, in its opinion, will be in the best interest of the Town. *The bid list for this project may be incomplete.
