The principal items of construction are the following: 750,000 Gallon Multi-Leg Steel Elevated Water Storage Tank and Appurtenances And Associated Site Work and Piping Bidders shall inform themselves concerning Georgia Law and comply with same. Work shall be coordinated with the CCWSA, and maximum time for final completion shall not exceed 365 consecutive calendar days. Each bid must be accompanied by a cashier's check or certified check on a duly organized bank made payable to Cherokee County Water and Sewerage Authority or a bidding bond executed by the bidder, and a surety company authorized to transact business in the State of Georgia, in the sum of not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid. All bids must be made out on the bid form furnished with the contract documents, in accordance with the instructions in the information for bidders. No interlineations, additions or deletions shall be made in the bid form by the Bidder. No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for receiving bids for a period of one hundred twenty (120) days. These bid documents include a Contractor Qualification Statement and Questionnaire. Contractors must meet minimum qualifications for this construction project. In addition, any subcontractor performing more than 20 percent of the work must also meet minimum qualifications for this project. The Contractors Qualification Statement and Questionnaire and the Subcontractors Qualification Statement and Questionnaire, all of which must be fully completed and submitted with the bid, will be used by the Owner and the Engineer to evaluate the apparent low bidders submittal.
