As part of its strategy of continuous improvement of the guest experience, and consistent with the goals of the RISE Denver GO Bond Program, the Denver Zoo is seeking a general contractor to provide design/build services based on the following criteria: Preconstruction: Assessment of existing conditions (structural assessment and existing as built drawings to be provided) Develop necessary design drawings (civil and electrical) to demolish existing pathway and replace with a new concrete pathway with a semi-curved multi-tiered retention wall, two underground conduits across the new pathway to connect the north and south sides for future use, and any additional infrastructure that may be needed. Construction: Demolition of existing pathway and removal of debris. Installation of new concrete pathway and repair enhancements to meet original design intent. The general contractor will lead in the approved design, demolition, removal of debris, and reconstruction of the identified pathway with the goal to improve overall campus safety and guest experience. Completion of this project will only be considered successful if the general contractor selected works with the Foundation, and other stakeholders, in a collaborative and interactive process, leading with a positive attitude to implement the envisioned scope of work on time and within budget.
