Question Deadline Sep 12, 2024 at 5:00 PM The scope of work includes: 1. Expansion of an existing 69 - 13.8 kV substation, including installation of two new 69 - 13.8 kV power transformers and a new switchgear assembly and removal of one existing power transformer and switchgear assembly. 2. The project will be conducted in phases, with the existing substation remaining in service until load can be transferred to the new equipment. 3. Existing substation fence to remain except where the substation yard is being expanded. Portions of the fence may be removed and reinstalled in order to facilitate construction, however temporary fencing is required if the permanent fence is removed to maintain proper security to the energized portions of the substation. Fence grounding shall be supplemented if/where so required to be in compliance with the project documents. 4. Remove existing structures and equipment as further described herein. 5. Demolish existing equipment foundations as shown on drawings. 6. Excavate and prepare yard at designated sub-grade. 7. Perform excavation and backfilling for below grade structures. 8. Install below grade structures, including foundations, conduits, drainage pipes, grounding system, etc. 9. Furnish materials and equipment unless specifically indicated as furnished by OWNER.10. Install all structures and equipment in accordance with the specifications and drawings and as further described herein. 11. The project shall provide for a fully functioning electrical substation, ready for energization. 12. The existing 69 kV portion of the substation must remain energized during construction. Exercise caution when working near any energized parts other equipment that is to remain in service. Portions of the yard will be removed from service where required to support construction. 13. Place filter fabric and crushed stone as shown on drawings. 14. Clean up site and provide off-site disposal of waste materials created as a result of the work.
