Each Bid shall be submitted in accordance with the Instruction to Bidders and shall be accompanied by a Bid Security in form of a bid bond, or certified check, and/or a treasurers or cashier's check issued by a responsible bank or trust company in the amount of five (5) percent of the bid Location and Work to be Done The Work consists of removal of existing playground, paved courts, fencing, and sports lights within limit of work; new covered basketball court structure with roof-mounted solar panels and ground improvements to support foundations; drainage and electrical improvements; sport courts; dog park; fitness area; skate park; accessible playground; splash pad with ground sprays; athletic and pedestrian-scale lighting; modifications to and expansion of existing irrigation system; site furnishings; tree plantings and lawns; and add alternates consisting of: climbing boulders with cable net connector (Add Alt. #1) and climbing boulder for ages 2-5 (Add Alt. #2) and all work incidental thereto, in accordance with the Specifications and conceptual plans attached hereto. Additional drawings showing details in accordance with which the Work is to be done may be furnished by addendum from time to time during the bidding period by the Owner or its Architect/Engineer and shall then become a part of the Contract Documents. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, services, materials, equipment, plant, machinery, apparatus, appliances, tools, supplies, and all other things necessary to do all work required for the completion of each item of the Work and as herein specified. The bidding and Award of this Contract will be under the provisions of M.G.L. c. 30, 39M.
