City of Vancouver, Washington, will receive sealed responses for the following: The City of Vancouver is seeking proposals from qualified firms/individuals for consulting services to provide professional architectural and engineering services for planning, design and construction administration of the Bridge Shelter. Questions Due Date: Sep 19th 2024, 4:00 PM PDT Comments by City Staff will be limited to a review of the project. The City of Vancouver in accordance with the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (78 Stat. 252,42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4) and the Regulations, hereby notifies all bidders that will affirmatively ensure that any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full and fair opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award. The City of Vancouver anticipates that the selected firm (or team) will provide typical professional architectural and engineering services required for planning, design and construction of the Bridge Shelter, related facilities and site. Services will include but are not limited to architectural services; site planning; programming and program validation; cost modeling and estimating; structural engineering; mechanical, electrical (including lighting, power, communications, emergency power and low voltage systems) and plumbing engineering; civil engineering (including roadway, site, signage and striping, stormwater and utility design and coordination with utility service providers); permitting - including land use, environmental and building (including SEPA documentation) as well as designing and coordinating permit approvals for the necessary site utilities - electrical, water, sewer, fiber optic/other communication services, and possibly natural gas; landscape design; interior design including FF&E; and construction administration for the building, parking lot and site development. Additional services in the design team's contract will include, but are not limited to, land surveying; geotechnical engineering and inspections; building commissioning; traffic engineering and modeling; safety and security consulting; building life strategic maintenance planning and budgeting; archeological and cultural resources evaluation and construction activity monitoring if necessary; and other necessary support services
