This project will consist of approximately, 1,357 SY of 6" concrete pavement and stabilization for Trail Head Parking at HEB Fishing Pond. This project also include applicable pavement markings, sidewalks, and handicap signage, as designed. The Owner requires a person who submits a Bid to submit a certified or cashier's check on a responsible bank in the state equal to five percent (5%) of the total amount of the Bid, or a bid bond equal to five percent (5%) of the total amount of the Bid issued by a surety legally authorized to do business in this state, conditioned that the Respondent will pay the Owner, as mutually agreed to liquidated damages, and not as a penalty, the amount specified in the Bond, unless he enters into a contract with the Owner in accordance with his bid ("Bid Security"). Respondent is required to execute a contract and furnish a Performance Bond, Payment Bond and a Certificate of Insurance. If the RESPONDENT fails to execute the contract and to furnish satisfactory Performance and Payment Bonds and Insurance Certificates within ten (10) calendar days from the date on which he is notified that his bid has been accepted, the amount of his check or bid bond shall be forfeited to the BPUB as mutually agreed to liquidated damages, and not as a penalty.
