The County of Riverside Transportation Department is proposing to construct drainage improvements consisting of a system of sediment basins adjacent to the north side of De Portola Road between Shiraz Way and approximately 650-feet northerly in the Rancho California community of Riverside County. Construction of the sedimentation basin system will include grading including structural excavation, backfill and compaction, construction of approximately 555 linear feet of reinforced concrete retaining walls with variable height up to 12-feet high, construction of four sediment basins separated by three reinforced concrete weir structures, construction of two reinforced concrete channel transition structures, and one reinforced concrete junction structure per the details shown on the plans. The proposed minor road improvements will require removal of segments of the existing asphalt concrete pavement and underlying material to the depth as shown on the plans and placing back Class 2 Aggregate Base and Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) pavement per the structural section shown on the plans. The proposed project also will include but is not limited to: o Construction of concrete cross gutter and spandrels o Construction of asphalt concrete dike o Construction of asphalt concrete driveway o Installation of cable railing on top of retaining wall o Construction of 4-feet wide earthen swale behind retaining wall o Installation of storm drain system consisting of 36" x 36" x 48" precast drop inlet with 18" HDPE pipe behind retaining wall o Striping of roadway, including pavement markings o Removal/salvage, relocation, and installation of new roadside signs o Any other work as may be required *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
