The work consists of the installation of a 16-inch bedrock test well to a depth ranging from 400' to 530' , associated testing including temporary pumps and overland HDPE piping and valves, three piezometers, four overburden observation wells, and well television inspection. Bids shall be on a unit price basis as indicated in the Bid Form. All Bids for this project are subject to the provisions of Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 30, Section 39M as amended. A bid deposit shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The time period for holding Bids, where Federal or State approval is not required is 30 days, Saturdays, Sundays and legal holidays excluded, after opening of Bids. Minimum Wage Rates as determined by the Commissioner of Department of Workforce Development under the provision of the Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 149, Section 26 to 27D, as amended, apply to this project. It is the responsibility of the Contractor, before Bid opening, to request if necessary, any additional information on Minimum Wage Rates for those trades people who may be employed for the proposed Work under this Contract. The project is subject to the American Iron and Steel (AIS) requirement of Section 436 of Public Law (P.L.) 113-76, Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2014, which requires that all of the iron and steel products used in the project are produced in the United States.
