Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda delivered to all registered plan holders. Questions received less than seven days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. City of Plattsmouth, Nebraska Water Meter Replacement Project City of Plattsmouth (Owner) is requesting Bids for the construction of the following Project: Water Meter Replacement Project Plattsmouth, Nebraska The Project includes the following Work: The project consists of furnishing all labor and materials for the Water Meter Replacement Project. The project will be implemented accordingly: Phase 1: Contractor completion of meter condition reports and installation of advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) radios at 2608 locations within the City of Plattsmouth. Additionally, the replacement of approximately 289 non-AMI compatible existing meters with new, city provided meter units. This work to be conducted in zones according to meter route. Phase 2: Installation of new pit meters, provided by the city, at 4 locations to facilitate master metering efforts for trailer parks located within the municipal water system. Phase 3: (NOT PART OF BID) Phase 4: Contractor to replacement of approximately 1000 additional water meters, provided by the city, on service lines of varying size. Locations to be determined by results of meter condition reports completed in phase 1. Bidding Documents may be downloaded from the designated website. Prospective Bidders are urged to register with the designated website as a plan holder, even if Bidding Documents are obtained from a plan room or source other than the designated website in either electronic or paper format. The designated website will be updated periodically with addenda, lists of registered plan holders, reports, and other information relevant to submitting a Bid for the Project. All official notifications, addenda, and other Bidding Documents will be offered only through the designated website. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the designated website. The Issuing Office for the viewable Bidding Documents is: Olsson 601 P Street, Suite #200, Lincoln, NE 68508 Prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office or the City of Plattsmouth, 136 N. 5th Street, Plattsmouth, NE 68048. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. Pre-bid Conference The Pre-bid conference will not be held. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instruction to Bidders. The check(s) or bond(s) shall be made payable to City of Plattsmouth, NE, as security that the bidder(s) to whom the award(s) are made will enter into contract to build the improvements bid upon and furnish the required bonds and insurance. The City of Plattsmouth reserves the right to accept any bid which it deems most advantageous to the City, and to reject any or all bids submitted and to hold as many bids as it desires for consideration for a period of sixty (60) days after the bids are open.
