This Project Generally Consists of the Installation of 2 Additional Water Filtration Membrane Skids With New Piping, Valves, Pipe Supports, and Scada System Integration With the Existing Filtration System. The Project Also Includes the Coordination of Shutdown Connections to the Existing Water Facilities and the Complete Restoration of the Area Disturbed by Construction Activities. Bids Received From Contractors Who Are Not in the Bidder's Plan Holder List Will Be Rejected A Certified Check/bank Draft Drawn on a Solvent Bank, Payable Without Condition to the City of East Chicago, in, or a Bid Bond in an Amount Not Less Than Ten Percent (10%) of the Bid Shall Be Submitted With Each Proposal as a Guarantee That, if the Proposal is Accepted, a Contract Will Be Entered Into, and the Performance of the Contract is Properly Secured. A Performance Bond and Payment Bond, Each in a Sum Equal to One Hundred Percent (100%) of the Amount of the Bid With Sureties to Be Approved by the City, Must Be Furnished by the Successful Bidder. All Bids or Proposals Shall Contain an Offer to Furnish Bonds Upon Acceptance of Such Bid or Proposal. Bids Will Only Be Received From Qualified Contractors. The Right is Reserved to Reject Any or All Proposals, to Waive Technicalities, to Postpone the Bid Opening, or to Advertise for New Proposals, if in the Judgment of the City Their Best Interests Will Be Promoted Thereby.. No Bid Shall Be Withdrawn After the Opening of the Proposals Without the Consent of the Board of Directors of the East Chicago Department of Waterworks for a Period of Forty-five Days After the Scheduled Time of Closing Bids.
