The scope of this project includes, but is not limited to, the following: Demolition, site work, asbestos abatement and renovation of a municipal facility. As of August 28, 2024, a general contractor has not yet been selected for this project. A firm construction timeline for this project has not yet been released. Perry County Illinois Will Receive Bids for Renovations to the Perry County Government Building. Renovation Work Includes The Abatement of Asbestos Containing Materials And Demolition of Interior Elements to Allow for The Complete Interior Renovation of Restroom Facilities, Office Suites and Adjacent Support Areas. The Work Involves Modifying Existing Building Mechanical Systems to Accommodate the Renovated Interior Spaces Using Existing Mechanical Equipment. Additionally, the Project Includes Updating and Altering Existing Plumbing, Power, Lighting, and Data Systems. Exterior Renovations Will Feature the Installation of New Thermally Broken Aluminum Storefront Systems to Replace Existing Windows and Entrance Systems, as Well As the Replacement of Selected Exterior Window Sills. Other Information: Bidders Will Be Required to Provide Bid Security in an Amount Equal to Five Percent (5%) of the Bid Price. The Successful Bidder Shall Comply With the Provisions of the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act, Specifically Including the Payment of the Applicable Prevailing Wages to All Laborers, Workers, and Mechanics Performing Work Under the Contract. Refer to Other Bidding Requirements Described in Specification Section 00 21 13 Instructions to Bidders. The Owner Reserves the Right to Reject Any and All Bids in Whole or in Part or to Waive Any Informalities in the Bidding. No Bids Shall Be Withdrawn for A Period of Sixty (60) Days Subsequent to the Opening of Bids Without the Consent of the Owner.
