The Work Of This Contract Includes, But Is Not Necessarily Limited To The Following: Milling/overlay Of Portions Of Alfed Road And Worth Street. Including Approximately 9,550 Sy Milling, Variable Depth; Approximately 1,247 Tons Hot Mix Asphalt Surface Course; Reconstruction Of Two (2) Concrete Handicap Ramps; And All Other Work Necessary And Incidental Thereto. The Proposal Must Be Submitted Utilizing The Forms Contained Within The Contract Documents. It Must Be Enclosed In A Sealed Envelope Bearing On The Outside The Name Of The Bidder, His Address And Name Of Project(S) For Which The Bid Is Submitted. Materials To Be Contained Within The Sealed Envelope Are Specified Under "Instructions To Bidders." Bid Proposals Shall Be Complete, In Ink, And Any Bids Incomplete Or Not Submitted In A Sealed, Specially Addressed Envelope May Be Considered Informal. Each Bid Must Be Accompanied By A Proposal Guarantee In The Form Of A Bid Bond Or Certified Check For An Amount Equal To Ten Percent (10%) Of The Full Amount Of Each Contract Bid, Not To Exceed $20,000. Surety Shall Be Made Payable To: Borough Of South Toms River And Shall Be Without Condition Or Qualification. All Bidders Shall Be Required To Comply With Chapter 127, P.l. 1975, C. 127, Requiring Each Bidder And Each Subcontractor To Formulate And Submit To The Proper Authorized Representative Of The State Of New Jersey An Affirmative Action Program Of Equal Opportunity Which Guarantees Minorities Employment In All Categories. Bidders Are Required To Comply With The Requirements Of N.j.s.a. 10:5-31 Et. Seq. And N.j.a.c. 17:27. All Bidders Must Also Comply With The Prevailing Wage Act, N.j.s.a. 34:11-56.25 Et Seq.
