Gretna City Hall HVAC Improvement- The City is seeking bids for the replacement of the HVAC system in Gretna City Hall located at 14615 Main Street, Gretna, Florida. The ITB-08-19-2024-01 response should be Turn-Key, including all aspects of the project Mini Split Installation - Install 13 Mitsubishi Mini Split Systems in exterior offices. Each unit to be set on a plastic pad. Location of outside unit and head unit shall be confirmed with City staff prior to installation. Equipment Removal - Contractor shall remove all existing HVAC equipment in the mechanical room that will no longer be in service. Contractor shall remove all existing air handling units located in the attic space of the building. Contractor shall remove all duct work and/or seal off existing registers. Add Air Handler Spaces- Build 2 new air handler supply rooms in the offices to the rear of the Commission Chambers. In wall returns shall be constructed from Chambers to new units. Install Equipment- Install 2 - 4 Ton Trane Variable Speed 19 SEER Heat Pump Install 1 - 2 Ton Trane Variable Speed 19 SEER Heat Pump Each unit to be set on plastic pads Cosmetic- Cover line sets with line hide covers Repair any sheetrock damage caused by proposed improvements. Electrical- Disconnect existing equipment. Run new wire to connect new equipment. The contract will be awarded to the lowest, responsive, responsible bidder who has proposed the lowest qualified lump sum bid and is deemed qualified by the City of Gretna, subject to the City's right to reject any or all bids and to waive informality and irregularity in the proposals and proposing. The award of construction contract under this proposal is subject to the approval of an installment period extension by the Florida Department of Agriculture. Scope of Work The Project Shall Include the Following Scope of Work. All Work Shall Be Subject to Inspection by the City's Building Official and Shall Be Completed in Accordance With All State and Local Building Codes. The Contractor is Responsible for Any Inspections Prior to Construction to Determine All Efforts/materials Necessary to Complete the Provided Scope. Any bidder may withdraw his bid, either personally or by written request, at any time prior to the scheduled time for opening bids. No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of 90 days after the date for opening and all bids shall be subject to acceptance by the City during this period. Bid Bond 5% Scope of Work The City is seeking bids for the replacement of the HVAC system in Gretna City Hall located at 14615 Main Street, Gretna, Florida. The ITB-08-19-2024-01 response should be Turn-Key, including all aspects of the project (see scope of work). The work upon which this invitation to bid is based was funded, in whole or in part through a subrecipient grant awarded by the US Department of Energy through the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services.
