This Contract is for the provision of all labour, materials and equipment necessary for the rehabilitation of Dixie Road at Metrolinx structure, North of Lakeshore Road East, City of Mississauga. The work to be done includes, but is not limited to, the following: - Staging the work as defined in the Contract Drawings. - Supply, installation, maintenance, and removal of all traffic control components (signs, barricades, fences, barriers, delineators, flagmen, etc.) and road modifications to accommodate safe detouring of vehicular and pedestrian traffic around the construction site and to complete the works in stages as shown on the Contract Drawings. - Supply, installation, maintenance, and removal of measures necessary to protect the public, site personnel, vehicles, equipment, adjacent property, and the environment from damage and/or injury from the work of this Contract. - Removal of asphalt and disposal of all materials off site. - Removal of steel railings, barriers and fencing and disposal off site. - Removal of concrete sidewalks on grade, concrete curbs and gutters, reinforced concrete sidewalks and retaining walls and disposal of all materials off site. - Stripping and excavation of road base materials and materials in the boulevards and disposal off site of all excavated material not suitable for reuse. - Construction of subdrain systems below the roadway, in the boulevards and behind the retaining wall located north of the Metrolinx bridge structure on the west side of Dixie Road. - Rehabilitation of existing storms sewers with by pipe lining and adjustments to maintenance holes and catch basins. - Construction of new reinforced concrete retaining walls and sidewalks, curb and gutters, sidewalks on grade, granular road base, new asphalt pavement, and pavement markings. - Construction of retaining walls on the properties located at 1075 Dixie Road and 1069 Dixie Road. - Cleaning of finished asphalt while finishing works are occurring. - All other work necessary to complete construction in accordance with details set out in the Contract Documents, as shown on the Contract Drawings, and as directed by the Engineer. - Clean up and restoration of the site following the completion of the work.
