Granite School District (GSD) is requesting the services of a General Contractor (B100) or Concrete Contractor (S260) to install spot footings at Douglas Orchard Elementary School, 3800 South 6744 West, West Valley City, Utah. Work shall include, but is not limited to: Selective demolition and removal of existing concrete slab Installation of new concrete spot footings and column piers per plan Replace concrete walkway after footings and piers are installed as per plan All work is indicated by red cloud on plans Question Deadline 08/30/2024 at 2:00 PM MT All questions must be submitted via electronically. It is anticipated the start date for the project is Friday September 20, 2024. Work must be completed and approved for use by Granite School District not more than 40 calendar days after work has begun. Bidders will be required to provide bid security in an amount equal to at least 5% of the bid, at the time the bid is submitted, if the bid amount is $50,000 or greater. Acceptable bid security shall be limited to: (a) a bid bond underwritten by a company licensed to issue bid bonds in this state and listed in the U.S. Department of the Treasury Circular 570; (b) a cashier's, certified, or official check drawn by a federally insured financial institution made payable to the GSD board of education; or (c) cash. A performance bond and a payment bond, executed by a surety company authorized to do business in the state and listed in the U.S. Department of the Treasury Circular 570, are required for all construction contracts in excess of $50,000, in the amount of 100% of the contract price. Granite School District will reject a bid if the bid is not responsive or the bid is submitted by a bidder who is not responsible.
