Aitfield Generator This project will be bid on a lump sum basis for all specified work and will be awarded to the responsive and responsible bidder submitting the lowest total base bid. A 5% Bid Bond is required of all bidders. Bid bond must be present for bid to be read or considered. 100% Performance and Payment bonds will be required of the successful bidder. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities in the bidding process. Contract Time: Contract must be completed within ninety (90) consecutive calendar days following the issuance of the Notice to Proceed for each project. Performance will be monitored and documented by the Project Manager. Not completing this contract within the time specified may hamper the contractor's ability to secure future contracts with the City. Liquidated Damages: Time is an essential element of the Contract, and any delay in the prosecution of The Work may inconvenience the public, obstruct traffic, or interfere with business. In addition to the aforementioned inconveniences, any delay in completion of The Work will always increase the cost of engineering. For this reason, it is important that The Work be pressed vigorously to completion. Should the Contractor or, in case of default, the Surety fail to complete The Work within the time stipulated in the Contract or within such extra time that may be allowed, charges shall be assessed against any money due or that may become due the Contractor in accordance at the rate of fifty dollars [$50] per calendar day. Bid Bond: Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, cash, or bid bond (surety) acceptable to the Owner, in an amount equal to at least five (5%) percent of the bid, payable without condition to the Owner as a guaranty that the bidder, if awarded the contract, will promptly execute the Agreement in accordance with the bid and other contract documents, and will furnish good and sufficient bond for the faithful performance of the same, and for the payment to all persons supplying labor and material for the work. Install an 80KW stand by 3 PH 120/208V generator for the airfield lights as required by FAA. Replace 400A ATS with a new 400A 3 PH service rated automatic transfer switch. Run existing conduit and control wires to new generator location. Must remove and dispose of existing generator. Include a 5-year warranty and a one (1) year maintenance agreement. 1. Remove and legally dispose of the existing generator fuel tank. 2. Remove and legally dispose of existing generator. 3. Remove and legally dispose existing generator exhaust. 4. Run existing conduit and control wires to the new generator location, south of the existing location, just beyond the roofline. 5. Contractor will be responsible for suppling all equipment for transport and lifting of the generator. 6. Contract must pull all appropriate permits. 7. Install a new 80 KW Diesel Generator, 3PH 120/208 4 wire 60 Hz standby generator. 8. 400A 3PH NEMAA 1 service-rated ATS, with 7-day automatic generator exerciser. 9. Include and install a 24-hour run fuel tank. 10. Remote annunciator. 11. Include an emergency stop station. 12. Install generator feeder control wires. 13. Install 150 gallons of diesel fuel. 14. Install concrete generator pad. 15. Install seal fresh air vent in block wall with sheet metal. 16. Perform commissioning and start-up, verify nominal operation. 17. Include a one (1) year preventive maintenance contract agreement. 18. Include a five (5) year warranty
