Anderson Street Improvements PY 2023 CDBG Question Deadline 09/04/2024 at 12:00 PM ET, Location online portal. Bids must include a certified check or bid bond, with a corporate surety authorized to do business in Pennsylvania in the amount of 10% of the bid, as posted through online . Performance and Payment Bonds in the amount of 100% of the contract shall be furnished by the successful bidder. Attention of bidders is called to all of the requirements contained in the bid packages, (ie insurance and the E-Verify Public Works Employment Verification Act). The CDBG Contract is subject to Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968, as amended, which requires, to the extent feasible, contractors to employ lower income residents of the project area, and to purchase materials from local businesses. The Bidder's attention is called to the fact that the CDBG project is receiving funds under Title I of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, as amended and as such, the Davis Bacon and related Acts applies to this Contract and that the successful Bidder shall pay no less than the Federal Wage Rates determined for the project area as set forth in the Contract Documents. The successful Bidder must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex, or national origin. Trainer Borough reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids or portions of, to waive any informalities in bidding and to withhold award for a period of sixty days.
