Tribal Privilege Tax and Inspection Fee: The Pascua Yaqui Tribe's Privilege Tax and Inspection Fee do not apply to this project. Temporary Business License and Building Permit: All Contractors performing construction projects for the Pascua Yaqui Tribe are subject to a TERO Business License Fee as listed in Attachment C of the bid documents. For reservation projects, a building permit is provided by the Facilities Management department at no cost. State and Local Taxes: The Pascua Yaqui Tribe is a Sovereign Nation. As such, Contractors performing work for the Pascua Yaqui Tribe are exempt from local and state taxes other than those state and local taxes as required by the contractors or subcontractors operations. Please consult your own tax expert to know your own tax liability. Tribal and Certified Wages: The Pascua Yaqui Tribe require that Construction trades performing work on this project are to be paid the higher of the Tribal Wage Scale or the prevailing local wages. This requirement applies to all employees regardless of tribal affiliation. Weekly certified payrolls will be required on this project.
