Hammond Port Authority N Dock Replacement This work shall include, but is not limited to, installation of all materials necessary and perform all operations required for a complete, fully functional and operational anchored Owner-provided floating pier system per the drawings and specifications in the City of Hammond, Lake County, Indiana. COMPLETION DATE: This work shall be completed by December 31, 2024 with in-water work beginning as soon as possible after notice to proceed is given, weather and marina conditions permitting, but no later than October 14, 2024 No bidder may withdraw his proposal for a period of 90 days following the date set for receiving bids. The Hammond Port Authority reserves the right to retain any and all bids for a period of not more than 90 days, and said bids shall remain in full force and effect during said time. The Hammond Port Authority further reserves the right to waive informalities and to award the contract to any Bidder all to the advantage of the Hammond Port Authority or to reject all bids BID SECURITY: Each bid shall be accompanied by an acceptable certified check or cashier's check made payable to the Hammond Port Authority or an acceptable Bid Bond in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid price executed by an incorporated surety company in good standing and qualified to do business in the State of Indiana. BONDS: A performance bond and payment bond each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price will be required INDIANA REQUIREMENT: Standard Indiana Form 96 (Revised 2013) which includes non-collusion affidavit will be required. Contractors submitting a bid for City construction projects must subscribe to the Indiana Plan and a joint apprenticeship and training program for that project if their bid is accepted and provide proof of same before any payments are made. Each bidder must ensure that all employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, creed, color, sex or national origin and each bidder must conform with the anti-discrimination provisions of IC 5-16-6. An Affirmative Action Statement must be submitted at time of bid.
