Sealed bids are invited for the construction of Bald Knob Natural Area Preserve (NAP) parking lot and trail and Poor Mountain NAP parking area guardrail and entrance improvements (199-18577-007). Bald Knob is located within the Town of Rocky Mount, VA and Poor Mountain is in Roanoke County. All questions must be submitted on the Prebid Question Form to at info@colleyarch.com or via fax at 540-953- 2725 by 4:00 PM on Tuesday, September 17, 2024. Responses will be made by Addendum on Tuesday, September 24, 2024. Copies of the Invitation for Bids documents, including the plans and the specifications, will also be available for inspection at the following locations: Colley Architects 200 N. Main Street, Suite 200 Blacksburg, VA 24060. Contractor registration is required in accordance with Section 54.1-1103 of the Code of Virginia. See the Invitation for Bids for additional qualification requirements. All executive branch agencies are directed to advance Executive Order 35, dated July 3, 2019. A Bid Bond IS required. This project will also require both Performance and Labor and Materials Bonds prior to awarding the contract. Procedures for submitting a bid, claiming an error, withdrawal of bids and other pertinent information are contained in the Instructions to Bidders, which is part of the Invitation for Bids. Withdrawal due to error in bid shall be permitted in accord with Section 9 of the Instructions to Bidders and 2.2-4330, Code of Virginia. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
