The project is described as follows: Improvements to the Owner's Orenco Recirculating Sand Filter WWTP, including liner and piping removal, liner installation, piping installation, media removal and disposal, media installation, 50 GPM pump replacements, SCADA controller installation, and primary tank solids removal. A certified check or bank draft, payable to the order of Village of Carbon Hill negotiable U.S. Government bonds (at par value) or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total Bid shall be submitted with each Bid. The successful Bidder shall provide at least 50% of all labor required for the completion of this project. The Village of Carbon Hill reserves the right to reject any or all Bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. Bids may be held by the Village of Carbon Hill for a period not to exceed 30 days from the date of the opening of Bids for the purpose of reviewing the Bids and investigating the qualifications of Bidders, prior to awarding of the Contract.
