The Town of Huntington seeks written responses from qualified contractors to furnish and install an air conditioning/heat pump ductless split system at the Police Garage. The Town reserves the right to reject any or all responses if it is deemed in the best interest of the Town. Required for DCAMM contracts over $150,000, Highway Division contracts over $50,000. Question Deadline 09/16/2024 For questions regarding this Request for Written Responses, please contact: Jennifer Peloquin - Town Administrator admin@huntingtonma.us Contractor shall furnish and install an air conditioning/heat pump ductless split system at the Police Garage located at 7 Mill Street, Huntington, MA with the following specifications: Two (2) outdoor air conditioning/heat pump condenser units o 30,000 BTUs each o Units are to be mounted on an 18" stand or wall bracket in an approved location outside the garage. Two (2) indoor ductless air conditioning/heat pump wall mounted units o 30,000 BTUs each o Units are to be mounted in an approved location inside the garage. Two (2) wireless remotes Two (2) compatible wall thermostats System must meet the following ratings: o SEER - 18.5 o EER - 12.8 o HSPF - 9.6 New copper tubing and fittings to complete the refrigeration piping between the outdoor units and indoor units. The refrigeration piping will be insulated and have flared connections. Any of the refrigeration piping that is visible on the outside walls will be hidden in piping covering. New plastic tubing and fittings to pipe the indoor units' condensate drains to an approved location outside the building. All electrical wiring to complete the system Disconnection of exiting oil-fired furnace. Exhaust pipe to be cut and capped in garage. Furnace will be left at the garage for the town to dispose of. All work must be completed by November 1, 2024.
