Project shall consist of construction of a new High School building structure including an ICC-500 2014 storm shelter, new site improvements, including all associated work specified herein and drawn in separately bound drawings. CONTRACT TYPE Bids will be based on a lump sum construction contract through a Pre-Qualified Prime Contractor. Pre-Qualified Prime Contractors: - Holland Construction Services - Plocher Construction Company - Poettker Construction Company - SM Wilson & Company Bids shall include not less than the Prevailing hourly wage rate determined by the Illinois Department of Labor. Bids shall conform with the Project Labor Agreement (PLA) adopted by the Cahokia Board of Education. BID STIPULATIONS Bid Security is required in the amount of Ten percent (10%) of Proposal, made payable unconditionally to the Owner. Security shall be certified check, cashier's check or bid bond issued by surety licensed to conduct business in the State of Illinois. Within ten (10) days after notification of award of contract, the successful Contractor shall furnish a Performance Bond and Payment Bond in the amount of 100 percent of the contract and the payment of all obligations arising thereunder using a form similar to the AIA 312 Form, or one acceptable to Owner. The Performance Bond will become a part of the Contract. The failure of the successful bidder to enter into contract and supply the required bond and Certificates of Insurance within ten (10) days after the prescribed forms are presented for signature, or within such extended period as the Owner may grant, shall constitute a default.
