The project's objective is to migrate the existing PLC-based control systems in the listed water conveyance facilities to a DeltaVTM based Distributed Control System (DCS) as indicated on the Contract Drawings and the summary of work (Section 01 11 00) of the project specification package. Facilities to be migrated include: 1. Parsons Creek Pumphouse 2. Thickwood Pumphouse 3. Lower Townsite Pumphouse The successful respondent (Contractor) is responsible for installing the new DCS equipment and connecting it to the existing equipment to provide a fully operational and functional DCS at each site. The Contractor is expected to coordinate work with the DCS Hardware Supplier and System Integrator, both independently contracted by the RMWB. Work covered by the Contract Documents generally includes, but is not necessarily limited to: 1. General Requirements a. Mobilization/Demobilization b. Environmental Procedures c. Quality Assurance d. Temporary washroom facilities for Contractor employees. 2. Site Demolition and Removal a. Removal of existing PLC and system components for handover to the Owner. b. Decommission and salvage of miscellaneous controls equipment. c. Coring and cutting of penetrations in floor and walls. Migration of the existing controls systems at the Parsons Creek Pumphouse, the Thickwood Pumphouse, and the Lower Townsite Pumphouse: a. Receiving, unloading, installation, wiring, start-up, and commissioning of Owner-supplied DCS and communication equipment. The contractor is responsible for transporting ownersupplied equipment from Fort McMurray Water Treatment Plant located at 1 Silin Forest Road, Fort McMurray, T9H 3C2 to work locations. b. Relocation of components from existing PLC cabinets to new DCS cabinets. c. Supply, installation, tagging, and commissioning of field wiring, cabling, junction boxes, supports, and other miscellaneous equipment. d.
