Owen-Ames-Kimball Company, on behalf of the Lee County Port Authority is requesting bids from qualified individuals or firms authorized to do business in the State of Florida for the treatment of exotic and nuisance plant species for the Southwest Florida International Airport (SWFIA) Mitigation Park Imperial Marsh North Project. Description This project is to conduct perimeter fence, vegetation, and signage maintenance and repair and trail system maintenance at Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) Airport Mitigation Park. Additionally, firebreaks created to contain the 2023 and 2024 wildfires in Airport Mitigation Park in 2023 and 2024 will be re-graded as part of this project. For this project, Airport Mitigation Park consists of Flint Pen Strand and Imperial Marsh (divided into North/South units) which are located in Sections 13, 14, and 23; Township 46 South; Range 26 East; and Sections 5, 6, 7, 8, 17, and 18; Township 46 South; Range 27 East; Lee County, respectively. This project is for a one-time maintenance of 5,885± Linear Feet (LF) of a pre-identified section of the perimeter fence; one-time repair/replacement of 2,271± LF of a pre-identified section of the perimeter fence; one-time repair/replacement of 5± signs at pre-identified locations along the perimeter fence; one-time vegetation maintenance event within a 15-foot strip interior to and adjacent to 5,885± LF, or 2.0± acres, of the perimeter fence; one-time maintenance of the 155,433± LF by 100-foot wide, or 356.8± acres, trail system; and one-time restoration (i.e., regrading and/or backfilling) of firebreaks totaling 52,567± LF. The maintenance and repair areas are depicted in Exhibit 2 and 3 within the Technical Specifications. The work includes furnishing labor, materials, equipment, services, licensing, insurance, bonding, permits, and incidentals for all work Addenda may be issued during the course of bidding. All addenda must be acknowledged by bidders' failure to do so may be cause for rejection of a bid. The Construction Manager reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
