The project involves construction of approximately 145 linear feet of sheet piling lining the outfall of Rainwater pump station 'A' and approximately 100 linear feet of sheet piling lining the outfall of Rainwater pump station 'B'. Construction also includes the replacement of the existing handrail, removal and replacement of existing concrete channel lining to facilitate sheet piling installation, and installation and removal of coffer dams to facilitate the sheet pile construction. Bid security in the amount of five (5) percent of the greatest amount bid must accompany each bid. The bid security must be in the form of a Bid Bond. Upon consideration of the proposals the City Commission plans to award a Contract; however the Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any and all formalities and technicalities, and to accept any bid which it deems advantageous to the owner. Each bidder agrees to waive any claim it has or may have against the Owner, the Engineer, and their respective employees, arising out of or in connection with the administration, evaluation or recommendation of any bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a performance bond and payment bond in an amount of 100% of the total contract price. The construction covered by the contract documents shall commence within ten (10) days after written Notice to Proceed shall have been given by Professional and be completed within 210 calendar days from the date specified in the Notice to Proceed. The project also includes installation and removal of coffer dam to facilitate the sheet pile construction. B. Pump Station B: Work of the contract is for installation of approximately 100 linear feet of steel sheet pilings driven to approximately 20-30 feet deep including the pile cap and railing; as well as the removal and replacement of 40 square yards of discharge channel concrete including placement of a seal slab. The project also includes installation and removal of coffer dam to facilitate the sheet pile construction.
