Reference Number 0000360738 The City of New Bedford, Purchasing Department, in conjunction with the School Department, is soliciting sealed bids for the Gomes Elementary School HVAC Upgrade located at 286 South 2nd St., New Bedford, MA 02740. The work of this contract will require a DCAMM Prime General Contractor certified in HVAC. This work wil also require a DCAMM filed Sub-Bidder certified in Electrical. The bid process and award of this Contract will be under the provisions of M.G.L. Chapter 149. The estimated budget for this project is $3,500,000.00 and the estimated substantial completion date is August 2025. Bid Intent Optional Bid Intent Deadline 09/18/2024 05:00 PM EDT Question Acceptance Deadline 09/06/2024 04:00 PM EDT Questions are submitted online Yes The contract will be awarded within sixty (60) calendar days after the bid opening. The time for award may be extended by mutual agreement between the City and the awarded bidder. No Bidder may withdraw his/her bid for a period of sixty (60) calendar days, after the actual date of the opening thereof. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid deposit that is five percent (5%) of the bid amount. The Awarded Bidder must furnish a 100 percent (100%) Payment Bond and a 100 percent (100%) Performance Bond with a surety company acceptable to the City. The City is an Equal Opportunity Employer and encourages MBE/WBE/DBE participation in response to the IFB process.
