Old Towne District Road Improvements Water and Wastewater Utility Relocations REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS (RFQ) The Commissioners of Public Works of the City of Charleston, South Carolina, is requesting interested Contractors to complete an Application for Prequalification of Bidders for providing all labor, equipment, and materials necessary for construction of the Old Towne District Road Improvements Water and Wastewater Utility Relocations Project (CWS job numbers 2024000229 & 2024000230) located in West Ashley along Sam Rittenberg Blvd and Old Towne Rd between Charlestowne Dr and Winchester Dr, plus adjacent portions of Orange Grove Rd. The Work to be performed consists of approximately fifteen 6-inch through 8-inch ductile iron water main vertical offsets, sixteen 6-inch through 8-inch ductile iron water main horizontal relocations, four fire hydrant lead vertical offsets and/or horizontal relocations, four 6-inch through 8-inch gravity sewer main replacements (including multiple new manholes), two 8-inch through 16-inch ductile iron force main vertical offsets, two 16-inch ductile iron force main horizontal relocations, various water and sewer service line adjustments, and all associated appurtenances. Neither the Owner nor Engineer has any responsibility for the accuracy, completeness, or sufficiency of the Application, including any Addenda, obtained from any other source. The Owner will not accept bids from Contractors who fail to submit timely applications for prequalification or from Contractors who fail to prequalify. The project will be bid at a later date as a part of Charleston County's Old Towne District Transportation Improvements Project. Bids are tentatively scheduled to be opened in Q4 2024.
