Replacement of the Danco Drive Bridge Over Perry Brook (Bridge No. 1150008). Work under this contract includes replacement of the existing bridge on Danco Drive over Perry Brook and the reconstruction of the approaches on Danco Drive with a dual precast concrete box culvert bridge. A satisfactory Bid Bond or Certified Check in the amount equal to five percent (5%) of the base bid shall be submitted with each bid. The Bid Bond shall be made payable to the Town of Putnam and shall be properly executed by the Bidder. A 100% Performance, Labor and Material Bond is also required. All sureties must be listed on the most recent IRS Circular 570. Attention of bidders is directed to certain requirements of this Contract, which require that minimum rates to be paid for labor of the various classifications shall be in accordance with the current schedule of wages established by the Connecticut Department of Labor as provided in the General Statures of Connecticut, as revised. Bidders shall submit two (2) original copies of their Proposal on the forms provided, in a sealed envelope plainly marked with the appropriate project title. Bids, to receive consideration, must be in the hands of the authorized representative of the town, no later than the day and hour at the location mentioned above. The Town of Putnam reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids; to waive informalities; or, to accept any bid deemed in the best interests of the Town of Putnam.
