The scope of work includes architectural improvements, as well as mechanical, electrical, and plumbing upgrades. Additionally, the project encompasses civil site improvements. Project Overview: 1. Location: Aldan Borough Administration/Police Department Building: 1 W. Providence Rd, Aldan PA 19018 2. Scope of Work: a. Architectural improvements b. Mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) upgrades c. Civil site improvements Each bid must be submitted online and must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond equal to at least ten (10) percent of the total bid. Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Rates will apply to bids greater or equal to $25,000. Question Deadline 09/02/2024 at 4:00 PM ET Online Portal Borough Council reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals, or parts thereof, and to waive any informality in the bidding, as they deem in the best interest of the Borough. This project consists of the existing 2325 sq. ft. renovation of, and 3020 sq. ft. addition to, the Aldan Borough Administration building and Police Station. The existing portion and new addition will all be single story with an attic for storage. All new sitework will be required including new water lines and electrical service to the building. New driveways and sidewalks are to be provided where indicated on the drawings. The building will consist predominantly of wood stud framing and wood trusses for the addition to match the existing framing and slope of the roof. The holding portion of the existing police station will include CMU wall construction, where indicated on the architectural and structural drawings. The roof will consist entirely of standing seam metal roofing, insulated entirely above deck. All foundations will consist of cmu and standard footings. From the footings the façade will have a brick veneer around the entire addition, and at locations indicated on the architectural drawings, will come to a water table before transitioning to a cementitious panel system. The existing façade to remain is to be infilled, patched and repointed where required for demolition and new construction. All new HVAC will be provided for the addition and renovation.
