ADA Ramp and MAT Improvements Question Deadline 08/29/2024 at 3:00 PM ET all questions must be submitted through Ion Wave at https://capecoral.ionwave.net and received by stated time NO QUESTIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER that time Cape Coral is the 8th largest city by population and the 3rd largest by land mass in Florida. Cape Coral currently has a population of more than 200,000 residents and is experiencing high growth. As a pre-platted community, Cape Coral could have more than 360,000 residents at buildout. The city has a sub-tropical lifestyle with thousands of waterfront residential properties on almost 400 miles of canals. About two-thirds of these canals provide boaters with direct access to the Gulf of Mexico. The contractor is to furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and operations necessary to complete the following work for select improvements to existing sidewalk curb ramps along local and major roadways in the Southeast area of Cape Coral (see Exhibit A map of Ramp replacement and Improvement Locations) to bring ramps to compliance with ADA, FHWA, and FDOT requirements and standards. In addition to other items, as outlined in the specifications and bid documents, the operations may consist, but shall not necessarily be limited to all or part of the following: Removal & Placement of concrete sidewalks, curb ramps, curbs and gutters, and detectable warning devices. All maintenance of traffic. Readjustment of inlets and other affected structures or utilities. Delivery of material to site (hauling). Street sweeping, as necessary, & final clean-up of job site and repair of any damage caused by construction activities including paving damaged areas per enclosed details. Sod placement.
