The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder upon review of the bids by the Board of Trustees of the Rutland-Dundee Townships Fire Protection District at its September 9, 2024, meeting. Specifications: The work required by the District for which bids are sought include providing all labor and materials necessary to accomplish the general renovation of the living quarters and adjacent spaces within the Rutland-Dundee Townships, Fire Protection District Fire Station located at 7 Thorobred Lane, Sleepy Hollow, IL 60118, including the removal and replacement of floor coverings throughout the 1200 sq. ft. space, the installation of one new bathroom, renovation of an existing bathroom, and the replacement of existing shower with all associated plumbing fixtures, wall finishing and trim work. Specifications for the work to be performed, the space to be renovated, the materials to be used and contract terms and general conditions, all of which must be addressed in all bid responses, are available for inspection and distribution at the Rutland-Dundee Townships Fire Protection District, Station #51, 11 E. Higgins Road, Gilberts, IL 60136 (Telephone: 847/426-2522). All bids must provide an available work start date. The District reserves the right to reject all bids. The successful contractor shall also provide, prior to the commencement of work, a performance and payment bond in an amount equal to one and a half times the project cost, with sureties acceptable to the District. Description of Work: Flooring: 1) Entry Hallway, Office, 2 bathrooms, 3 bedrooms, Day room and Kitchen 2) Removal and disposal of existing carpet and all loose floor material. 3) Prep floors (skim coat) for vinyl plank flooring 4) Install flooring Lifeproof "Sterling Oak 22 Mil x 8.7in Wide x 48 in Length throughout the living area excluding the Bathrooms 5) Transitions as needed and approved by the District 6) Install rubber floor molding throughout coverage area including the updated bathrooms 7) Non-Slip Epoxy floor in Bathroom #1 and #2 8) Repair/Reinstall all Floor covers and cleanouts 1 st Bathroom 1) Removal of current shower 2) Install walls as needed to support new shower 3) Reroute plumbing material as needed for new shower 4) Install of new fiberglass shower enclosure 48in x 36in and all plumbing fixtures 5) Show detail specifications of shower enclosure and shower doors 6) All plumbing fixtures, valves, heads and drains shall have solid brass waterway construction 7) Install new shower door(s) 8) Install 18" towel bar and 2 towel hooks 9) Install closest next to shower including the drywall, door, jam trim, hardware and shelving. 10) Remove stall material 11) Removal and disposal of old toilet 12) Install new toilet and water connection 13) Remove vanity and replace with new 48" vanity, vanity top and fixture 14) Show detail specifications of vanity, vanity top and fixture 15) Install all plumbing material needed for vanity 16) Install lighting over the vanity, lighting selected by the district 17) Replace exhaust fan and light 18) Remove old urinal and install new urinal, plumbing for new urinal 19) Move any electrical outlets to meet code requirements 20) Install new drywall, tape, mud as needed. Prep wall for paint 21) Prime and paint all walls and ceiling 2 st Bathroom 1) Removal of current counter tops 2) Install new toilet and water connection 3) Install or Reroute plumbing material as needed for new toilet 4) Install 6ft x 3ft wall next to toilet 5) Install new 42" vanity, vanity top and fixture 6) Install all plumbing material needed for vanity 7) Show detail specifications of vanity, vanity top and fixture 8) All plumbing fixtures, valves, heads and drains shall have solid brass waterway construction 9) Install lighting over the vanity, lighting selected by the district 10) Install one electrical outlet above vanity 11) Move any electrical outlets to meet code requirements 12) Install exhaust fan and light 13) Remove hallway window and replace with 2x4, drywall, tape and mud. 14) Install new drywall, tape, mud as needed. Prep wall for paint 15) Prime and paint all walls and ceiling 16) Install plumbing clean out Kitchen: 1) Move refrigerator to fit in the kitchen based on changes to 1 st bathroom 2) Install electrical outlet for refrigerator if needed 3) Install new drywall, tape, mud as needed.
