The City of Carnation requests sealed bid proposals for construction of the Tolt Middle School Sidewalk Improvements. Improvements along Tolt Avenue, in front of Tolt Middle School, include removal of trees, HMA sidewalk, and curb ramps, and reinstallation of cement conc. sidewalk, curb and gutter, tree installation, storm conveyance revisions, restoration and other work, all in accordance with the attached Contract Plans, these Contract Provisions, and the Standard Specifications. The engineer's construction estimate range for this Project is $140,000 to $180,000. Tune for project completed shall be in accordance with Section 1-08.5 of the Standard Specification and as amended by the Special Provisions All bod proposals shall be accompanied by a bid proposal deposit in cash, certified check, cashier's check, or surety bond in an amount equal to five percent. (5%) of the amount of such bid proposal. Should the successful hid der fail to enter into such contract and furnish a satisfactory performance bond within the time stated in the contract documented, the had proposal deposit shall be fur feited to the City of Carnation. No bidder may withdraw their bud proposal after the time fixed for opening thereof of before award of the contract, unless said award is delayed for a period exceeding thirty (30) days. The City of Carnation reserves the right to reject any or all bide, and to waive minor irregularities in the ladding process. Any prospective Bidder desiring an explanation or interpretation of the Bid Documents, shall request in writing by the close of business five (5) business days preceding the bid opening. Oral explanations, interpretations, or instructions given by anyone before the Award of Contract will not be binding on the City of Carnation. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
