Through this Request for Proposals, the City of Merritt invites Proposals from experienced organizations for complete delivery and implementation of the City’s Water Metering Program, which has the overarching objective to install an AMI (Advanced Metering Infrastructure) universal water metering network for all of its approximately 2400 customers, in order to help the City reduce water consumption. Program & Contract Phase Summary: As there are many unknowns regarding quantities and types of meter equipment and services required, the City intends to enter into Contracts with the successful Respondent in a 3-Phase approach, which is summarized in the RFP documents. Timeline Requirements: The City anticipates executing Contract #1 (for Phase 1 Services) with the ‘highest-ranked’ Respondent from this RFP, prior to September 30, 2024. The City’s preference is for Phase 1 Program Services to be complete by January 6, 2025. Should the City and highest-ranked Respondent mutually agree to execute Contract #2 (for Phase 2 and 3 Services), then the City’s Preference is for Phase 2 Capital Works to be complete (program ‘Ready for Takeover’) no later than December 15, 2026.
