BACKGROUND AND SCOPE: Background Kalamazoo County is committed to providing state-of-the-art technology to support efficient and effective operations. Our Information Technology Department currently supports a robust infrastructure utilizing industry-leading standards and solutions. The County relies on Microsoft for productivity and collaboration, ensuring seamless communication and data management across departments. Industry accepted solutions and Infrastructure safeguard our network, providing reliable and secure connectivity for all users. In summary, the county is a Cisco and Microsoft shop. Despite these high standardsin our core IT infrastructure, the technology in our board rooms and conference rooms is fragmented and outdated. Various rooms are equipped with disparate technologies, resulting in inconsistent user experiencesfor both staff and the public. Some rooms have basic audio-visual setups, while others have more advanced but incompatible systems. This disjointed approach hinders our ability to conduct meetings efficiently and impacts the quality of interactions, particularly when transitioning between different rooms. The current setup lacks uniformity in hardware and software solutions, leading to frequent technical issues and a steep learning curve for users. This fragmentation not only affects the Scope: - Design and installation of a multimedia system in the board room and County Conference Rooms. - Integration with Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and YouTube for live streaming and video conferencing for all solutions. -Solution must be compatible with Cisco and Microsoft. - High-quality audio and video equipment for clear communication for the streaming audience and persons in attendance. - User-friendly interface for managing meetings, including both in-person and remote participants. - Dynamic display solutions for presentations and collaboration. - Training and support services for staff -Hours of Support for Public Meetings (4PM Start and 7PM Start)
