The purpose of this RFP is to select a qualified and licensed contractor to furnish all materials, labor, supervision, transportation, permits, licenses, equipment and any incidentals necessary to providing and installing a replacement 500 KW Diesel Generator located at the City's Wastewater Treatment Plant. Contractor shall furnish all labor, supervision, materials, parts and equipment to remove the existing generator and fuel tank, and replace it with a 500 KW Diesel Generator, Kohler brand or equivalent equal. The City Reserves the Right to reject any proposals that are not furnished promptly with all the required information. The City Reserves the Right to verify the qualifications of all contractors. Such qualifications may serve as the basis for acceptance or rejection. The City Reserves the Right, in its discretion to reject any and all proposals or to accept any proposals found to be in the best interest of the City of Havre de Grace. Contractor shall furnish all labor, supervision, materials, parts and equipment to remove the existing generator and fuel tank, and replace it with a 500 KW Diesel Generator, Kohler brand or equivalent equal. Work will include all disconnection work from the existing generator, disconnection of the fuel lines and cap off, remove existing generator with a crane and properly dispose of unit. New generator will require the existing concrete pad to be prepped for installation which may necessitate increasing the side. New generator to be installed on concrete pad after any modifications. Rework and connect existing load wires and control wires to new generator. Generator shall include a 2-hour load bank. Contractor shall perform system start up and testing by trained personnel and demonstrate functionality. Generator shall include a 5 year warranty, and minimum one year warranty on installation, material and workmanship. Existing underground fuel tank to be removed. Contractor shall contact MDE and Miss Utility for project state and site mobilization prior to beginning work. Fuel tank shall be excavated, and the fuel and vent pipe removed. Back fill to grade. Remove tank and dispose at approved facility.
