The Work required by this Contract includes, but is not limited to, the following: On an on-call basis, to provide labor, materials, transportation, and tools to operate waterborne construction equipment and perform certain marine demolition and construction services, including removing floats, removing and disposing of sunken boats and other material off the ocean bottom, dredging, removing and installing piles, miscellaneous marine clean-up and other related construction work as required. The Bidder shall hold a current and valid Class "A", California Contractor's License to construct this project. The Contractor shall achieve Affidavit of Final Completion of the Project within two (2) years. Question Deadline 09/10/2024 at 5:00 PM PT Questions must be submitted electronically. Questions received after the preBid question deadline will not be accepted. Neither questions nor answers are part of the Contract Documents, unless the question and answer result in an addendum. Each Bid shall be accompanied by a satisfactory Bidder's Bond or other acceptable Bid Security in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the Base Bid as a guarantee that the Bidder will, if Conditionally Awarded a Contract by the Board, within thirty (30) calendar days after the Contract is conditionally awarded to the Contractor by the City, execute and deliver such Contract to the Chief Harbor Engineer together with all required documents including insurance forms, a Payment Bond for one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price, and a Performance Bond for one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price. All Bonds shall be on forms provided by the City. The Board, acting through the Chief Executive Officer, reserves the right at any time before the execution of the Contract by the City, to reject any or all Bids, and to waive any informality or irregularity. The Conditional Award of the Contract, if any, will be to the responsible Bidder submitting the lowest responsive and responsible Bid. If the lowest responsive responsible Bidder fails to submit the required documents including insurance forms, bonds and signed Contract within thirty (30) calendar days after Conditional Award of Contract, the Board reserves the right to rescind the Conditional Award and Conditionally Award the Contract to the next lowest responsive and responsible Bidder.
