KDEM Emergency Operations & Training Center All contractors bidding as the prime bidder on this project must be pre-qualified with Office of Facilities and Property Management to bid this project. Completion- April 18, 2026. Project Location: 2800 SW Topeka Blvd., Topeka, Kansas The Work consists of the following: 1. Construction of a new Emergency Operations and Training Center and renovations to the existing building on the site, including sitework, landscape development, and other site improvements. 2. Structural system consisting of steel framing supported on concrete foundations and precast concrete structural walls meeting ICC 500 requirements. Building exterior walls will have a combination metal panel veneer on non-load bearing metal stud walls and colored precast walls with formliners. Roof framing will be steel joists and beams. Exterior fenestration including aluminum curtainwall, storefront entrance framing, and doors. Roofing work includes TPO membrane roofing over a coverboard and board insulation on steel decking. ICC 500 to have concrete layer on steel deck. 3. Interior finishing and related construction includes interior partitions, doors, floor and ceiling finishes, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, fire sprinkler, telecommunication and audio / visual systems. 4. The renovation work includes demolition of walls, doors, finishes, etc., cutting new openings in existing exterior and currently below grade walls, providing new walls, doors, finishes, restroom renovations, and associated mechanical, electrical, plumbing, telecom, A/V, fire suppression, fire alarm, etc Project No- 2408002 Question Deadline 08/23/2024 Requests for clarifications and interpretations of the Construction Contract Documents (Technical Specifications and Drawings) shall be presented to the Project Architect/Engineer in writing at least ten (10) days prior to the date on which bids are to be opened.
