The Town of Hope Mills is soliciting formal bids for the installation and repair of street and storm drainage infrastructure along Ascent Drive and surrounding streets within the Woodland Hills subdivision in Hope Mills, North Carolina. Written questions will be received by Elisabeth Brown at eabrown@townofhopemills.com through Friday, August 23rd, 2024, 5 p.m. The goals for participation by minority firms as subcontractors on this project have been set at 10% Each proposal shall be accompanied by a cash deposit, or a certified check drawn on a bank or trust company insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, or a bid bond in an amount equal to not less than five per cent (5%) of the proposal, said deposit to be retained by the TOWN as liquidated damages in event of failure of the successful BIDDER to execute the contract in accordance with the bid bond. Standard form of bid bond is included in these specifications. The CONTRACTOR shall furnish a Performance Bond executed on the form bound herein by a surety company duly authorized to do business in North Carolina in an amount at least equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price, as security for the faithful performance of this contract. The CONTRACTOR shall furnish a payment bond executed on the form found herein by a surety company duly authorized to do business in North Carolina in an amount at least equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price, as security for the payments of all persons performing labor and furnishing materials in connection with this contract. The TOWN reserves the right to award either alternate bid or to reject any or all bids.
