This project aims to improve the storm water system by constructing an outfall, vinyl sheet pile bulkhead, and proprietary treatment unit. The existing storm water force main will be connected to the new components, and the remaining force main will be abandoned by capping both ends. An alternate bid option is to fill the abandoned 8" force main with flowable fill up to the storm water inlet it currently discharges into. The project is located at the south end of the Eufaula Street right-of-way. The improvements made in this phase will be used for future phases to treat and transport storm water from Gilmore Drive. This project is being partially funded by a federal grant; compliance with all applicable grant specifications and with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations is required. The City of Gulf Breeze reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, waive any bid informalities, and re-advertise for bids when deemed in the best interest of the City. Bidders shall not lobby or otherwise attempt to persuade or influence City Council members, officials, or staff on decisions to be made relating to the bid, except in public presentations requested by the City. All questions regarding the project requirements should be addressed to Shelby Stidham by email at sstidham@gulfbreezefl.gov no later than the close of business on Friday, September 06, 2024.
